The City Boy Movement, Plateau State, has inaugurated campus coordinators across all tertiary institutions in the state as it launches a major mobilization drive to deliver *1 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu* in the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration took place on *Thursday, August 21, 2025*, at the *Shartell Hotel Conference Hall, Jos*, and was presided over by the *Director General of the City Boy Movement, Plateau State, Mr. David Daser*, who is also the *President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute*.
*“Students Are The Direct Beneficiaries”*
Speaking at the event, Mr. Daser said the meeting was convened to harmonize the movement’s structure on campuses and deploy students as frontline mobilizers for the President.
_“Today’s inauguration is to meet with all our structures across the campuses. The student coordinator has done a remarkable job bringing these comrades together with one objective: to produce 1 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR in 2027,”_ he stated.
He credited the *Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)* for reducing student dropouts and keeping students in school. _“There has been no single strike since Mr. President came. Go to school, spend 4 years and graduate. What more can be better than this?”_ he asked.
Expressing confidence in Tinubu’s chances in Plateau, Mr. Daser cited ongoing federal projects like the *Akwanga-Gombe Road and Sharam-Lamba Road*, key appointments including an *APC National Chairman from Plateau*, and the defection of the sitting governor to the APC. He added that the _“Muslim-Muslim ticket propaganda”_ used against the President in 2023 _“can no longer deceive our people because they are seeing results.”_
He also announced the launch of *“Operation Solid Rock” on September 24 at Crispan, Jos*, which he described as _“one of the biggest mobilizations in the history of Plateau politics.”_ According to him, the movement currently has *over 32,000 members* structured across polling units, wards, and LGAs, with 6 members in each unit.
*Campus Leaders Key Into Mobilization Drive*
The *Campus Student Coordinator, Comrade Nanzin*, appreciated Mr. Daser and said SUG Presidents will serve as the movement’s _“gatepoint”_ on campuses. He disclosed plans to appoint coordinators across the state’s 3 senatorial zones and flagged off an *“Operation Show Me Your PVC”* campaign.
_“By the grace of God, the student community will mobilize 1 million votes, and possibly more, for His Excellency President Bola Tinubu,”_ Comrade Nanzin said.
*Comrade Younglan Talyoung, SUG President, University of Jos*, pledged massive support for the President, citing Mr. Daser’s mentorship.
*Comrade Lohkur Lohjul Vongdip, SUG President, Federal University of Education, Pankshin*, said students have benefited from federal interventions and will _“take the good news to every student”_ to ensure Tinubu’s re-election.
*Comrade Tangsan Mercy Solomon, SUG President, College of Health Technology, Zawan*, lauded health sector reforms benefiting Plateau and commended Mr. Daser for promoting gender inclusion.
*Comrade Bullah Nzaman Luka, NANS JCC Chairman, Plateau State*, also commended the DG and promised mobilization beyond campuses. _“Mr. President has already campaigned in Jos through appointments, projects and interventions. We will deliver over 1 million votes,”_ he said.
