President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for his efforts to strengthen unity and cohesion within the ruling party.
Tinubu made the commendation while inaugurating the APC Presidential Campaign Council, where he acknowledged Yilwatda’s efforts to engage party members across the country.
The President said the APC had continued to grow stronger despite predictions that the party would implode amid internal challenges.
“You deserve to be celebrated today,” Tinubu told the APC national chairman.
He noted that, contrary to expectations of a possible crisis, the party had continued to consolidate its structures and strengthen its position.
“They said the party would implode, but rather, it is getting stronger and better,” the President said.
Tinubu also acknowledged Yilwatda’s nationwide engagements, noting that he had been reaching out to party members ahead of the campaign inauguration.
The President’s remarks highlighted the role of party leadership and sustained engagement in maintaining unity within the APC as it prepares for the political campaign.
