The Plateau State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Davou Gyang Jatau, has congratulated former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah David Jang, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, describing him as a father figure and a visionary leader whose legacy continues to inspire many.
In a goodwill message, Hon. Jatau celebrated the remarkable life and achievements of the elder statesman, noting that reaching the milestone of 80 years is a rare grace and a reflection of a life dedicated to service and impact.
“As the current Commissioner for Transportation, I honor the foundation of excellence you laid as the Architect of Modern Plateau, transforming Jos into a modern city with iconic projects like the Silver Valley Flyover, dualized roads, and improved rural-urban connectivity,” he stated.
The commissioner further praised Jang’s leadership style, describing it as strategic and compassionate, which helped shape the development of the state and instilled resilience among leaders who followed.
He prayed for continued good health, peace, and prosperity for the former governor, wishing him many more years of fruitful life and service to humanity.
