Members of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), Plateau State Chapter, paid a courtesy and site visit to the ongoing construction of the Ministry of Justice Office Complex at the J. D. Gomwalk Secretariat as part of activities marking the 2026 Builders’ Week celebration.
The visit formed part of the institute’s commitment to promoting professionalism and best practices in the construction industry while also strengthening collaboration between professional bodies and government institutions.

Leading the delegation, the Chapter Chairman, Bldr. Grace Pam Wang, explained that the visit was aimed at encouraging compliance with building standards and highlighting the important role professional builders play in project delivery.
“As builders, we are responsible for ensuring that construction projects are properly managed from conception to completion, in line with approved standards and professional ethics,” she said.

During the inspection of the project site, members of the institute observed the level of work done and emphasised the need for strict adherence to quality assurance and safety measures in construction activities.
The NIOB team also commended the Plateau State Government for investing in critical infrastructure such as the Ministry of Justice complex, describing the project as a significant step toward improving public service facilities in the state.
The visit, which attracted members of the institute and construction professionals, also provided an opportunity for professional interaction and knowledge sharing among builders working to promote a safer and more resilient built environment in Plateau State.
In a related engagement, the delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Plateau State Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Hon. Peter Nyam Gai, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the institute and government agencies responsible for land administration and development control.
