Senator Istifanus D. Gyang has felicitated with elder-statesman Jonah David Jang on the occasion of his 82nd birthday anniversary, describing him as a father figure and a leader whose life has been devoted to service and nation building.

In a goodwill message issued to mark the milestone, the senator joined family members, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating the former governor and senator for his enduring contributions to Plateau State and Nigeria.

Gyang noted that Jang’s life journey reflects courage, discipline, and dedication to public service, qualities he said have defined the elder-statesman’s decades of leadership.

He highlighted Jang’s distinguished career in the Nigerian Air Force, where he rose through the ranks before transitioning into public service and politics.

According to him, Jang’s tenure as governor of Plateau State and later as a senator of the Federal Republic left lasting impressions through policies and initiatives that contributed to the development of the state.

The senator stated that the former governor’s leadership style, commitment to peace, and dedication to the welfare of the people remain notable chapters in the political history of Plateau.

“At 82, we celebrate not only the years but the enduring legacy of a father whose service remains a landmark in Plateau State,” Gyang said.

He prayed that God would grant the elder-statesman continued good health, strength, and many more years of wisdom and fulfillment.

The senator also urged younger generations to draw inspiration from Jang’s decades of service, leadership, and commitment to the progress of society.

He concluded by wishing the elder-statesman a joyful birthday celebration and many more fruitful years ahead. 🎉
