Hon. Zang Bot Luka, a former Minority Leader and ex-councillor, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, under the All Progressives Congress (APC), outlining a vision focused on improved representation and development for the people.

Speaking during his official declaration, Luka said his decision to join the race was driven by his desire to contribute new ideas and help raise the standard of representation at the National Assembly.
“Our past representatives have done their best for the constituency, but there is still room to improve and raise the bar. My aspiration is to contribute my own ideology and help change the narrative for the better,” he said.
Hon. Zang Luka said his priorities include empowering youths and women through meaningful programs that improve livelihoods, while also strengthening security by working with authorities to ensure peace and stability across Jos South and Jos East.
“Empowering our youths and women is essential for the growth of our constituency. At the same time, we must ensure that our communities are safe and secure. I will work tirelessly to provide opportunities for development while advocating for stronger security measures that protect every citizen in Jos South and Jos East,” He stated.
He also emphasized the importance of education, promising to expand scholarship opportunities for students within the constituency if elected.
“Education is critical to the future of our young people. I will work to ensure that more students from our constituency benefit from scholarship opportunities,” he added.
Luka further assured constituents that he would be a strong voice for the people at the National Assembly, particularly in addressing security concerns and other pressing challenges affecting communities in Jos South and Jos East.

The APC Ward Chairman of Nyango (Gyel B), Hon. Silas Dalyop, has formally received Hon. Zang Bot Luka as he declares his intention to contest the House of Representatives seat for Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency.
Hon. Dalyop commended Luka’s long-standing commitment to public service, noting his experience as a former councillor and Minority Leader has equipped him with the skills needed to represent the constituency effectively.
“Hon. Zang Bot Luka is a disciplined and visionary leader who has always demonstrated dedication to the people. We are confident that his integrity and proactive approach will bring meaningful change to Jos South and Jos East,” Dalyop said.
He further encouraged APC members to unite in support of Luka’s aspiration, emphasizing that leaders with strong character and a clear vision are essential for delivering progress and development to the constituency.

Coordinator also urged party members to take an active role in strengthening the APC by registering for party membership (APC E-Registration). He emphasized that wider participation would ensure unity and create a strong foundation for supporting Hon. Zang Bot Luka in the upcoming elections.
