Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State has assured residents that his administration will not take any action that will mislead or betray the trust of the people, stressing that all decisions of government will be guided strictly by the overall interest of the state.

In a statewide broadcast to mark the New Year celebration, the Governor said his government remains committed to transparent leadership, wide consultation, and responsible governance, especially in view of recent political developments in the state.

Governor Mutfwang explained that his administration has engaged relevant stakeholders within and outside Plateau State before taking major decisions, noting that the welfare, peace, and unity of the state remain the top priority.

He urged Plateau citizens to remain calm, patient, and united, assuring them that whatever announcements may be made in the coming days will reflect the collective will and best interest of the people.

The Governor also called on residents to reject division, violence, and misinformation, and instead embrace dialogue, mutual respect, and cooperation for the progress of the state.

Reaffirming his commitment to serve with integrity, compassion, and courage, Governor Mutfwang thanked the people of Plateau State for their resilience, prayers, and continued support, as he expressed optimism for a peaceful and prosperous 2026.
