The Vice Chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr. Pam Musa, has been honoured with the Best Journalist of the Year Award at the 11th edition of the Plateau Man of the Year Awards held in Jos.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mr. Musa said he was surprised by the recognition, noting that he never imagined his years of dedication to journalism were being closely watched and appreciated.

“I didn’t know that all this while, the effort I’ve been putting into the profession was being noticed, and today I am being honoured as Best Journalist of the Year,” he said, while giving thanks to God for the award.

He dedicated the award to journalists across Plateau State, especially those working under difficult and risky conditions due to insecurity in the past years.

Mr. Musa noted that journalists in the state have remained committed to reporting events from the front lines despite the challenges, in order to keep the public informed.

“To the glory of God, Plateau State is peaceful at this moment, and I dedicate this award to all journalists in the state who have continued to do their work diligently,” he stated.

He also charged journalists to remember that society is watching their actions and reports, urging them to uphold professionalism and responsibility.

Mr. Musa called on the media to promote peaceful coexistence and development through their reports, while also supporting government efforts aimed at building a more secure and progressive Plateau State.
