The Plateau State Government has announced the relaxation of the curfew earlier imposed on Jos North Local Government Area following the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Lohya Ramnap, on March 31, 2026, the government said the decision followed the restoration of relative calm in the affected area.

Under the new directive, residents will now be allowed to move freely between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily, beginning from April 1, 2026, to enable them carry out their lawful activities.

The state government, led by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, urged citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding as security agencies continue to monitor the situation.

It also appreciated residents for their cooperation and resilience during the curfew period, noting that their support contributed to the restoration of peace.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property across Plateau State while working closely with security agencies to sustain order.
