The Patience Nyiri Godwin Charity Foundation on March 2, 2026, successfully carried out its First Quarter Project at R.C.M Transfer Government Primary School, Giring, in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The outreach focused on promoting educational empowerment through scholarship awards and the distribution of learning materials to pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.

A total of 40 scholarship slots were awarded to deserving pupils from Primary 1 to Primary 6, covering full payment of their school fees and levies. The beneficiaries included both Muslim and Christian children, reflecting the Foundation’s strong commitment to unity and inclusiveness across religious and tribal lines.

In addition to the scholarships, the Foundation distributed 300 exercise books, 300 pencils, and 300 erasers to pupils in selected classes to enhance learning and reduce the financial burden on struggling families.

In her address, the Chief Executive Officer, Miss Patience Nyiri Godwin, emphasized the importance of education for both the girl child and the boy child. “Education is the greatest investment we can make in the lives of the less privileged. These scholarships are an investment in future leaders,” she said.

She explained that since founding the NGO in 2017, she has consistently raised funds through personal sacrifice, business efforts, and support from well-meaning individuals to sustain its humanitarian activities.

Miss Patience reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to supporting orphans, vulnerable children, widows, widowers, the aged, and physically challenged individuals across communities.

Commending the effort of the foundation, the Headmistress, Mrs. Rita Dung Joseph, appreciated the intervention, noting that many of the beneficiaries are orphans, vulnerable children, and those from extremely poor homes.

“This support has restored hope to many families and given the children renewed motivation to pursue their education,” she said.

During the outreach, Mrs. Mary Chuwang, mother of the CEO, encouraged the pupils to remain determined despite life’s challenges.

“Education is key to shaping your future. This Foundation started in 2017 with a passion to serve humanity, and I pray it continues to grow and touch more lives,” she stated.

Members of the Foundation’s staff also encouraged the pupils to stay focused, disciplined, and hardworking, stressing that the organization does not discriminate based on religion or tribe.

One of the beneficiaries, Aisha Muhammad, a Primary 5 pupil, expressed gratitude for the opportunity. “This scholarship came when I was almost losing hope because of financial hardship. I will study hard and make the Foundation proud,” she said.

The outreach marked a successful First Quarter Project for 2026, reaffirming the Foundation’s dedication to educational support, poverty reduction, and building a brighter future for children in Plateau State.
