The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has opened its application process for newly admitted full-time Year One students for the 2025/2026 academic session. All students who have accepted their admissions are eligible to apply for the education loan.
The Director of the Information and Communication Technology Centre (ICTC), Prof. Sunny Orike, said the application process is simple and can be completed in less than 10 minutes. He encouraged students to apply early and take advantage of the opportunity.
According to the notice, applicants are required to have their JAMB Admission Letter, Bank Verification Number (BVN), and National Identification Number (NIN). Students were advised to use their JAMB Registration Number instead of a matriculation number during the application.
Applicants must also upload their JAMB admission letter before completing the process. To begin account creation and apply for the loan, students are to visit the official NELFUND website at www.nelf.gov.ng and click on the “Apply Now” option.
Management urged all eligible students to apply promptly to benefit from the federal government’s education support scheme.
