The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has stated that the current administration’s reforms have successfully eliminated fuel queues across the country and ensured the timely payment of salaries and pensions.
Speaking as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday, Yilwatda highlighted the administration’s progress in governance, accountability, and economic management.
“Whether you like it or not, you will accept the fact that there are no fuel queues again,” the APC Chairman asserted during the interview, pointing to the stability in petroleum product availability.
Beyond the energy sector, Yilwatda emphasized that the financial wellbeing of government employees has seen a significant turnaround. He noted that the era of owing civil servants and retirees appears to be over.
“No state worker is complaining about pension, about salary. They’ve all disappeared,” he said, referring to the backlogs that previously plagued various tiers of government.
The Chairman attributed this shift to the administration’s broader fiscal policies, which he claims have streamlined how funds are allocated to the workforce.
“These reforms have allowed all these workers across the country in all 36 States including the FCT have their salaries paid at and when due,” Yilwatda concluded.
