Plateau Deputy Governor, Mrs Josephine Piyo, has urged all political appointees to provide efficient service to the people of Plateau state according to the mission and vision of Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
A statement from the Deputy Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Martha Azi Nyam, revealed that Piyo made this statement while representing the Governor at the closing ceremony of the retreat and onboarding of political appointees in Jos.
Piyo emphasized the importance of aligning the appointees’ actions with Governor Mutfwang’s development plans, policies, objectives, and priorities in order to fulfill the government’s campaign promises.
Additionally, Piyo urged the officials to view their appointment as a divine and humanitarian duty, and encouraged them to demonstrate hard work and dedication in carrying out their responsibilities.
The Deputy Governor expressed confidence that the retreat and onboarding activities had imparted effective leadership skills, ethical principles, and transparency to the participants, and she emphasized the need for the appointees to engage stakeholders, ensure effective communication, employ public relations techniques and foster partnerships to achieve inclusive development in the state.
