Ahead of the commencement of the Nigeria National League 2026/2027 proceedings, Mighty Jets Int’l FC is set to host seven other teams in Jos for a preseason tournament.
The tournament, scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 30th September 2026 is put together by the Plateau state government in conjunction with the Nigeria National League (NNL) body.
The teams set to participate in the competition are host Mighty Jets Int’l, Lobi stars FC of Makurdi, Gombe United FC of Gombe, El Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri, Golba FC of Jos. Others are: Globa Peace FC of Jos, Yobe Desert State FC of Damaturu and WIkki Tourists FC of Bauchi.
A statement by the Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, Danlami Alanama, reveals that the clubs will be divided into two groups and shall be played in a round robbing format. The winners of each group shall play the final.
The statement adds that draws shall be held on Tuesday by 5 pm in Jos, maintaining that the venue of draws shall be communicated subsequently.
