The Plateau State Election Petition Trial Tribunal, which is based in Jos, has dismissed the petition brought by Dr. Nentawe Yilwada Goshwe of the APC and upheld the election of Caleb Mannanseh Mutfwang of the PDP as governor of Plateau State.
When Mutfwang was declared governor of Plateau State by INEC, Dr. Nentawe filed a complaint with the Tribunal, claiming that Mutfwang was ineligible to run because his party (PDP) had no structure at the time of the election and had not legitimately nominated and sponsored him.
The Tribunal, however, rejected the Petition in its ruling on Friday because it lacked merit.
