The Nigerian judiciary has received praise from the Labour Party (LP) in Plateau State for the judgements it delivered at the ongoing National Assembly Tribunal in that state.
Comrade Mike Audu, state chairman of the party in the state, presented the commendation during a news conference on Tuesday in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.
He said, “We appreciate the tenacity and confidence in the Nigerian Judicial system. Therefore, we express our gratitude to the judges of the tribunal for their honesty and integrity, which enabled them to administer justice.
The National Assembly election petition tribunal recently validated the election of two of the Plateau state Labour Party’s members to the Federal House of Representatives, the party’s chairman informed journalists at a press conference.
The positive news of the party’s triumph at the electoral tribunal was welcomed with joy by the Labour Party in Plateau state. The Barkinladi/Riyom and Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituencies House of Representatives seats were declared won by the Labour Party.
Further emphasis was placed on the statement that “we hereby pray for victory and congratulate Hon Engineer Fom Dalyop Chollom and Hon Alfred Iliya Ajang, respectively, on their respective victories.
Comrade Mike Audu pointed out that the Labour Party hopes to also be proclaimed the winner of the Plateau North Senatorial seat at the Appeal Court.
