The Berom Youth Moulders Association (BYM), Gyel District, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic and untimely death of Mr. Miracle Phillip, a resident of Rankyeng in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

In a press release dated May 16, 2025, and signed by the BYM Chairman, Mr. Dungs Sylvester Bitrus, the group confirmed that Miracle, who had been missing for a prolonged period, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Evidence points to an attack by suspected Fulani herders.

The BYM condemned the killing in strong terms, describing it as a heinous and unacceptable act of violence. They called on security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and bring those responsible to justice.

“We urge the government to take immediate action to protect our communities, especially as the farming season begins, when our people are most vulnerable,” the statement read.

Miracle Phillip has since been laid to rest. The association extended heartfelt condolences to his family and the entire Gyel community, praying for strength and comfort during this difficult time.

“May God grant eternal rest to Miracle Phillip and console his loved ones,” Mr. Bitrus added.
