Veteran Nollywood actor Alhaji Sani Mu’azu has encouraged young entrepreneurs, innovators and aspiring filmmakers to remain confident in their abilities, saying success is possible from Plateau State.
Mu’azu gave the advice at the grand finale of the Purple Preneur Star organised by Purple Rain Galore in Jos, where he urged participants not to allow their location to define the limits of their ambitions.
He said Jos occupies a strategic place in the history of Nigeria’s film industry, noting that the contributions of filmmakers from the city to both Nollywood and Kannywood remain significant.
“Don’t be deceived if anybody tells you that you cannot make it from where you are. The history of filmmaking in Nigeria cannot be told without mentioning Jos and the contributions of film practitioners from Jos.”
The veteran actor recalled that he began his career from the lowest level in the industry and, through determination and hard work, rose to become one of the country’s respected actors.
He said his personal journey demonstrates that young people can achieve their dreams regardless of where they begin.
Mu’azu also encouraged participants to build meaningful relationships with experienced professionals, describing networking as an important tool for personal and business growth.
“Having spent about four decades in the industry, I can tell you that you can make it. Network with me and others. Learn from our experiences, and you will discover opportunities that can take you to the top.”
He urged young entrepreneurs to remain focused, embrace continuous learning and take advantage of every opportunity available to develop their talents and build sustainable careers.
