Popular Master of Ceremony on the Plateau MC Steve Davou Damar, known as MC Bihg Steve, has been appointed as Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas Ph.D., GCON.
The appointment was contained in a letter dated June 17, 2026, issued by the Directorate of Human Resources and Staff Development of the National Assembly and addressed to the Speaker.
Part of the letter read: “I am directed to inform you that approval has been given for your appointment as a Senior Legislative Aide to Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas Ph.D., GCON Speaker, House of Representatives, National Assembly, Abuja.”
Damar’s appointment comes barely a year after his controversial exit from the Riyom Local Government Education Authority, where he reportedly served before resigning in 2025 .
Reacting to his appointment, MC Bihg Steve took to his social media platforms to express profound gratitude to God and those who played key roles in his political journey.
He wrote: “A big thank You. My People, I Sincerely Want To Use This Medium to Express My Utmost Appreciation to GOD FOR HIS MERCIES.”
The MC-turned-politician also appreciated the Leader and Father of the Party, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and his principal, the Speaker, for finding him worthy of the position.
“Sir, I deem it an opportunity to work hard, having found me worthy to serve as a Senior Legislative Aide,” he stated.
MC Bihg Steve pledged to drive the #RenewedHope mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with utmost vigour, assuring that he would connect all dots to project humanity and development of the people.
“I therefore assure you all of my sincere desire not to take this grace for granted, and shall be committed and more focused in contributing to the growth of our party and ensure success our way,” he added.
