President Bola Tinubu is not a magician, according to Senator Remi Tinubu, the first lady of Nigeria.

She said this in her remarks during the interdenominational church service on Sunday in Abuja to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Anniversary.

Speaking about the country’s current predicament, Mrs. Tinubu stated that the current administration inherited the current problems, but she added that her husband is eager to address them one by one without placing the responsibility on the previous administration.

“All we inherited are things that happened years ago. We won’t put blame on any administration but to fix what has been damaged.

“My husband is not a magician. He is going to work and I believe that we will have peace in this country. The best is yet to come to us,” she said.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, also pleaded for Nigerians to exercise patience because the country’s issues cannot be remedied as quickly as they had anticipated.

“Solutions to Nigeria’s complex problems can never be as instant as expected. It will take some time, but measures are already being put in place to address them,” he said.
