The Plateau State Internal Revenue Service (PSIRS) has called on residents of the state to collect their outstanding driver’s licences following the receipt of a backlog of over 5,000 unclaimed licences from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The agency made the announcement in a public notice issued by its Head of Corporate Communications Department, Mr. Wulashik Lucius Dafaan.

According to the statement, all Plateau residents who have applied for driver’s licences but are yet to receive them are advised to visit the PSIRS headquarters located at No. 6 Bank Road, Jos, for immediate collection.

The service stated that the collection exercise will take place during official working hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

PSIRS urged applicants to come along with valid means of identification and any other relevant documents required to facilitate a smooth verification and collection process.

The agency noted that the exercise is aimed at ensuring that all outstanding driver’s licences are delivered to their rightful owners without further delay.

PSIRS encouraged affected residents to take advantage of the opportunity and collect their licences promptly to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.

The service reaffirmed its commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring efficient access to essential government services for the people of Plateau State.
