The Plateau State Chapter of the Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria, PMAN, has unveiled plans to launch an online radio station to promote its members and support the growth of the state’s creative industry.
The PMAN Governor, Gabriel Hodus, popularly known as Elmore, disclosed the initiative, describing it as part of the association’s commitment to empowering musicians and other creatives.
According to him, the online radio station will provide free airplay for songs by registered PMAN members, giving them greater visibility and a wider audience.
He added that the platform will also offer free promotion for members’ events, creative projects, and advertisements.
Elmore said the initiative is aimed at reducing the cost of publicity for creatives while creating a dedicated platform to showcase Plateau’s rich musical talent.
Announcing the project, he said: “Are you ready for the Plateau PMAN Radio? Where songs of members will be played for free, where events of members will be promoted for free, and promotions of all creatives and adverts of members for free. Let the music play.”
The proposed online radio station is expected to strengthen PMAN Plateau’s efforts to provide greater exposure for local artists and expand opportunities within the state’s creative industry.
