The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, has said the newly launched Performance Evaluation and Results Management Information System (PERMIS) Framework will align the Service with the Federal Government’s Public Service Performance Management reforms.
Nandap stated this on Friday during the official launch of the PERMIS Framework, the signing of Directorate Performance Bonds and the investiture of PERMIS Ambassadors and Focal Persons at the Service Headquarters in Abuja.

She said the Service was committed to entrenching a culture of excellence driven by measurable performance and accountability.
“The successful implementation of PERMIS will strengthen institutional efficiency and align the Nigeria Immigration Service with the Federal Government’s Public Service Performance Management reforms,” she said.
The Comptroller-General added that the framework would deepen accountability across the Service while promoting continuous improvement in service delivery.
“We remain committed to fostering a high-performance culture anchored on measurable outcomes, accountability and continuous improvement,” Nandap stated.
The event also featured the formal launch of the PERMIS Framework and the signing of Performance Bonds by heads of all directorates of the Service, signifying their commitment to achieving clearly defined institutional targets and delivering measurable results.
Earlier, the Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of Planning, Research and Statistics, DM Bagari, described the PERMIS Framework as a strategic tool for institutional excellence, performance monitoring and improved service delivery.
According to him, the initiative is designed to strengthen institutional performance while ensuring greater efficiency in the discharge of the Service’s responsibilities.
The programme also witnessed the investiture of PERMIS Ambassadors and Focal Persons who will drive the implementation and monitoring of the framework across the Nigeria Immigration Service.
The Service said the initiative reaffirmed its commitment to institutional transformation, transparency and the delivery of efficient, accountable and citizen-centred immigration services.
