Senator (Prince) Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang of Plateau North has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), marking a significant political move in the state.

The chairman of APC in Riyom Local Government Area, Hon. Ntoy Ngyang Gwong, presented the senator with his membership card, describing his entry as a boost that will strengthen the party and enhance its prospects in future elections.

Hon. Gwong urged Senator Dachungyang to help unite party members and called on all residents to see the APC as an inclusive home for everyone, promising that no one will be discriminated against.

In response, Senator Dachungyang noted that, despite previously being in a different political party, he has always worked collaboratively with APC at the national level. He encouraged party faithful to harmonize internal differences and work collectively for the good of Plateau North and Riyom LGA.

The senator also assured that his defection would bring more development projects to the local government and pledged to continue serving his constituents with dedication.

The event drew key stakeholders, including LGA executives, ward chairmen, and political leaders from all ten federal wards, who lauded Dachungyang’s commitment to people-oriented leadership and unity.

Senator Dachungyang’s move is expected to significantly strengthen APC’s presence in Plateau North, positioning the party for greater electoral success in the region.
