Nigerian singer Peter Okoye popularly known as Mr P recalled on the unforgettable moments he shared with his twin brother, Paul Okoye, during the peak of their success as Psquare.
The music star said that although he has built a successful solo career, he still thinks about the incredible journey they had together as one of Africa’s biggest music groups.
“Although I’m doing great on my own as Peter, but I sometimes think about what we were as Psquare and all we achieved together,” he said.
Mr P recalled that between 2009 and 2011, the excitement surrounding their concerts was so intense that ambulances always accompanied their convoy.
“In fact, in 2009, 2010, 2011, if we were going for shows, checking our convoy, you’ll see like four ambulances because fans used to faint as they watched us perform,” he said.
He revealed that after many of their concerts, he and his brother would head straight to hospitals to visit fans who had been rushed there after collapsing during their performances.
“Most times, immediately after our shows, we’d drive straight to the hospital to see our fans who had been rushed to hospital because they passed out watching us perform,” he added.
Psquare, made up of Peter and Paul Okoye, dominated the African music scene for years with several hit songs and electrifying stage performances that attracted huge crowds across the continent.
