Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, has accompanied the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, to the prestigious Nigeria–UK Business Forum held in London.
The event brought together key stakeholders to explore investment opportunities and strengthen economic ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
The forum, hosted at Marlborough House, provided a global platform for showcasing Plateau State’s economic potential, with Governor Mutfwang delivering a keynote address that highlighted the state’s progress and investment prospects.

Speaking on the visit, Bagos described his participation as an honour, noting that the governor’s presence at the forum reflects a bold step toward positioning Plateau on the global economic map.
“It was a privilege to be part of the governor’s entourage at such a high-level international forum where Plateau’s economic potential was presented to global investors,” Bagos said.
Bagos further noted that Plateau State has made significant progress in ease of doing business, moving from 33rd position in 2023 to 7th, a development he described as “a clear indication of purposeful leadership and strategic economic reforms.”
“The governor’s efforts in driving reforms and attracting investments are not only commendable but also critical to securing a prosperous future for Plateau State,” he added.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang, in his keynote address, said Plateau State is open for business and ready to partner with both local and international investors across key sectors of the economy. He emphasized that his administration is focused on creating an enabling environment that supports enterprise growth and sustainable development.
He noted that deliberate reforms have been introduced to improve ease of doing business, attract investments, and ensure transparency in governance, adding that the results are already evident in the state’s improved ranking.
“Our goal is to make Plateau a preferred destination for investors by providing a stable, secure, and business-friendly environment where enterprises can thrive,” the governor stated.
Mutfwang further reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening economic ties with global partners, stressing that Plateau State remains strategically positioned to benefit from international collaborations that will drive growth and create opportunities for its people.
A major highlight of the event was the conferment of the NACCIMA Ambassador title on Governor Mutfwang, in recognition of his commitment to promoting trade and economic growth.
Bagos said the recognition further validates the governor’s dedication to repositioning Plateau as a viable destination for both local and international investors.
