In Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State’s Maigemu District, gunmen have abducted a pastor as well as three other individuals.
Around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday, the gunmen allegedly broke into ECWA Church Nuku and abducted the clergyman in front of his family.
Clusterchannel discovered that the gunmen, who operated unimpeded for about 40 minutes, also abducted Agwom Dauda, Usman Umaru, and a woman only known as Sarah.
According to a source close to the neighbourhood, the gunmen drove off with their captives in a car while others followed on motorcycles after firing multiple rounds into the air to scare off bystanders, including vigilantes and hunters, from coming out for a rescue.
Under the condition of anonymity, a relative of the clergyman revealed that the kidnappers had not yet contacted the families to demand ransom.
The State Police Spokesman, DSP Alfred Alabo, confirmed the event and stated that agents are on the scene to apprehend those responsible for the heinous act.
