Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved the removal of several political appointees in Plateau State Government as part of efforts to improve efficiency and service delivery.

The decision was announced in a press statement issued on March 17, 2026, by the Secretary to the State Government, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau.

Those affected include Hon. Timothy Golu, Rt. Hon. Gwottson Fom, Hon. Nanbol Rimvyat, Hon. Nannim J. Langyi, Hon. Paul N. Datugum, and Hon. Nimchak Rims, who served in different advisory and liaison roles across the state.

According to the statement, the move is part of ongoing efforts to reposition government operations for better performance and alignment with the administration’s priorities.

“This action is aimed at strengthening governance and ensuring effective service delivery to the people of Plateau State,” the statement said.

In a related development, the governor also approved the suspension of Rt. Hon. Johnbull Shekarau as Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission.

The government explained that the suspension followed conduct considered inconsistent with expected administrative standards, adding that the matter is under review.

“All affected appointees are to hand over all official documents and government property in their possession to the appropriate offices with immediate effect,” the statement added.

The government appreciated the contributions of the affected officials and wished them success in their future endeavors.

The administration reaffirmed its commitment to accountability, transparency, and improved governance in Plateau State.
