Fast-rising artist TMAN from Jos is drawing inspiration from the life story of Nigerian music star Timaya as he works on a new song that reflects his humble beginnings.
The concept of the track is inspired by Timaya’s famous song Plantain Boy, where the singer proudly narrated how he rose from a struggling background to achieve success in the music industry.
Like Timaya, whose early life story began in Port Harcourt, TMAN is using music to tell his own story of perseverance while growing up in Jos.
The young artist revealed that his upbringing was shaped by hardship, as his mother makes a living selling palmwine (Pami) to support the family.
According to him, the sacrifices and hard work of his mother inspired the message behind the song, which is meant to celebrate resilience and determination despite difficult circumstances.
Through the project, TMAN hopes to motivate young people across Plateau State and beyond, showing that humble beginnings can still lead to success with dedication and talent.
