Mr. Finook Michael Ishaku Dakahap, Captain of the People Over Politics Movement, has intensified stakeholder engagements across Mangu Local Government Area, with renewed focus on agriculture and local economic development.
As part of the engagement, Dakahap and his team held a series of meetings in Mangu and Kerang, aimed at strengthening inclusive partnerships, encouraging grassroots participation, and promoting sustainable local growth within the local government area.
During the visit, the team paid a courtesy call on Mr. Monday Tongpan, Managing Director of Silver Green Fertiliser & Agro Services, at his office in Mangu. The engagement was described as strategic, focusing on supporting private-sector initiatives that contribute to agricultural development and local enterprise.
Mr. Tongpan’s investment in a fertiliser company and the ongoing development of a fertiliser blending plant in Mangu were highlighted as significant steps toward strengthening the agricultural and agro-industrial sector of the area. The initiative is expected to support farmers, boost productivity, and expand agro-based value chains.
Discussions during the meeting centered on collaboration between leadership, private-sector players, and community stakeholders as a pathway to unlocking opportunities in agriculture, job creation, youth empowerment, and food security in Mangu.
The visit also witnessed the presence of team members and supporters drawn from all 20 wards of Mangu LGA, reflecting unity, inclusiveness, and shared commitment to people-focused development.
The engagement reaffirmed the movement’s stance that supporting local enterprise, encouraging private-sector collaboration, and building accountable partnerships remain key to driving prosperity in Mangu.
The People Over Politics Movement reiterated its commitment to advancing local solutions, accountable leadership, and partnerships aimed at delivering lasting economic and social impact across the local government area.
