Chief Kefas Wungak Ropshik has officially received his Certificate of Return as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate for Plateau State, formally confirming his emergence as the party’s flagbearer for the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

The certificate was presented at a ceremony attended by the PDP National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, and other candidates who emerged victorious in various party primaries across the country.

Speaking shortly after receiving the certificate, Ropshik described the development as a significant milestone and a call to greater service to the people of Plateau State.

“This certificate is more than a document; it is a solemn mandate to champion the hopes of our people and advance the Plateau First vision,” he said.

The PDP candidate said the mandate represents the trust and confidence reposed in him by party members and supporters, assuring that he would remain committed to providing purposeful leadership and inclusive governance.

According to him, his administration would focus on building a united, peaceful and prosperous Plateau State through policies that prioritize the welfare of the people and address the state’s developmental challenges.

Ropshik reiterated his resolve to engage communities across the state and ensure that governance remains people-centred, responsive and accountable.

He also called on party faithful and supporters to remain united and focused as the party prepares for the governorship election.

“Together, we shall build a united, secure and prosperous Plateau for all. The journey to victory begins now,” he declared.

The presentation of the Certificate of Return marks the beginning of the next phase of the PDP governorship campaign in Plateau State, with Ropshik expected to intensify consultations and grassroots mobilization in pursuit of the party’s Plateau First agenda.
