Hon. Latep Dabang has been appointed as Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.

The appointment places Dabang at the centre of the APC’s efforts to strengthen internal unity and manage relations with other political parties ahead of key political engagements at the national level.

Party stakeholders say the decision reflects confidence in Dabang’s experience, negotiation skills, and long-standing involvement in Plateau State and national politics.

Before this new role, Latep Dabang served as Senior Special Adviser on Political Matters to Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, where he played a strategic role in political coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Over the years, Dabang has built a reputation as a grassroots politician, known for bridging divides, mobilising party structures, and fostering dialogue among diverse political actors across Plateau State.

His appointment as Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs is seen as a recognition of his political strides and capacity to contribute meaningfully to the APC’s broader goal of promoting cooperation, stability, and inclusive political engagement nationwide.
