Today marks a significant step towards accountability and transparency in Riyom Local Government Area as the TIC Chairman officially inaugurates a dedicated recovery initiative. This initiative is aimed at reclaiming all local government assets previously held by former officials.
The Chairman emphasized, “This recovery meeting is not about witch hunting anyone and not just about retrieving assets but also about restoring trust in our administration. We are committed to ensuring that every asset meant for public service is accounted for and utilized effectively.”
Key community leaders, stakeholders, and representatives from various security outfits attended the inauguration, showing strong support for this crucial endeavour. The Chairman has assured the public that the process will be transparent, fair, and thorough, reflecting the administration’s dedication to good governance.

In response to the TIC, the Chairperson of the Committee, Ngo. Hon. Mary Dang expressed her enthusiasm and pray that the council will give her and her members the maximum support needed to undertake this herculean task.
A member of the committee, SP Alobo John (DPO Riyom Division) suggested to the council that they can work effectively within two months and the TIC Chairman oblige to it.
