The initiative, conducted in collaboration with GIEVA.org and Zuestech Hub, aims to bridge the digital divide and prepare women for active participation in the global economy. Through comprehensive training programs, women were empowered with essential digital competencies, enabling them to leverage technology for e-commerce and various opportunities in the digital sphere.
One of the highlights of the endeavor was the launch of JUMM.AI, a groundbreaking platform leveraging generative artificial intelligence to further enhance women’s digital capabilities and foster innovation. Microsoft, alongside other partners such as data.org, played a crucial role in supporting this initiative, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships in driving sustainable development.
Hon. Caroline Panglang Dafur expressed her gratitude to all partners involved and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to sustaining the training programs. She reiterated the vision of His Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang to train at least 5,000 Plateau women and girls with digital skills, underscoring the administration’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and economic empowerment.
As Plateau State continues to harness the power of technology for social progress, collaborations between the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and the Ministry of Science and Technology will remain pivotal in advancing the status of women and shaping a more prosperous future for all.
