The Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, CP Okoro J. Alawari, psc also uses this medium to ban the use, sales and patronage of fireworks, knockouts and other pyrotechnic devices capable of creating panic and tension in the neighbourhood.
He advised parents to warn their children to desist from using such devices to avoid being apprehended and dealt with in accordance to the law.
Corporate and religious bodies, Organizations and Associations that wish to light up their end of year or festive celebrations with fireworks can contact the PPRO or Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (EOD), popularly known as Anti-Bomb Squad at the Police State Headquarters, Jos.
