Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the executive governor of Plateau State, has approved an increase in salaries for widows and women who scrub the streets of Jos and Bukuru city.
The commitment of Governor Mutfwang’s government to continuing these payments and paying off all arrears has also been stated.
When he stopped his convoy on Wednesday to welcome the widows sweeping the streets of Rayfield in Jos, Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang declared this.
He urged the women to be patient with the government and asked them to support measures that would make people’s living conditions better.
Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to creating a thriving and united Plateau and ensuring that no person or group is subjected to harassment while going about their daily business.
