The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) candidate for Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency, Hon. Barr. Seyilnen Gonten Luzu, has pledged to introduce a new approach to constituency representation through digital accountability and targeted development interventions if elected in 2027.

Luzu made the pledge during the inauguration of the APM Campaign Council in Jos, Plateau State, where he outlined his development priorities and called for a departure from what he described as outdated political practices.

He said the time had come for political representation to reflect modern realities, insisting that constituency projects and interventions must be properly monitored to ensure that intended beneficiaries receive their full benefits.

The APM candidate identified agriculture, education, security and healthcare as four priority areas he intends to focus on, alongside his legislative responsibilities at the National Assembly.

Speaking on the need for transparency in constituency interventions, Luzu expressed concern over the traditional practice of distributing materials without effective mechanisms to monitor their delivery and actual impact.

Using agricultural intervention as an example, he questioned the effectiveness of sending trucks of fertiliser to communities without proper tracking systems to prevent diversion and ensure accountability.

“We should be able to digitalise so that when we talk about impact, it goes directly to the people,” he said, advocating technology-driven monitoring of constituency projects.

Luzu, a lawyer, said lawmaking and representation remained his fundamental responsibilities, but stressed that he also intended to facilitate interventions that would address the practical needs of constituents across the three local government areas.

Meanwhile, the APM inaugurated more than 5,000 members of its Presidential Campaign Council as part of efforts to strengthen its political structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Addressing the gathering, a party urged the newly inaugurated campaign council members to work with discipline and commitment, expressing confidence in the party’s determination to reshape the political landscape of Plateau State and Nigeria.
