The Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, Mr. Pam Musa, has been re-elected for another three-year term alongside other members of the council’s executive at an election held Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the NUJ Secretariat in Jos.
Others elected include Comr. Ayuku Pwaspo as Chairman, Mary Domtur as Secretary, Lyop Pam as Treasurer, Celestine Attsar as Auditor, Christy Simon Tamai as Financial Secretary and Dashik Simon as Assistant Secretary.
Speaking shortly after his swearing-in, Musa thanked members of the union for renewing their confidence in the executive to pilot the affairs of the council for another three years.
“We appreciate our members for the confidence reposed in us. We will not betray that confidence, but will do our best to provide purposeful leadership for journalists in the state.”
He said the executive would continue to work as a team under the leadership of Pwaspo to advance the interests of journalists and further strengthen the union.
Musa also pledged that the administration would sustain its commitment to professionalism and members’ welfare, urging journalists to uphold the ethics and standards of the profession.
“We will continue to be professional and stand for the welfare of our members. Above all, we will do our best, just as we did in the first tenure, and continue to do more in the second tenure, to the glory of God.”
He expressed appreciation to journalists across Plateau State for renewing their mandate, assuring that with their support and cooperation, the new executive would build on the achievements of the previous administration and record greater progress in the next three years.
