The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Hon. Gyang Dung Gyang (GDG), has felicitated with former Minister of State for Transport, Engr. Musa Azi, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a pillar of wisdom, statesmanship and exemplary leadership.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the GDG Media Directorate, the PDP flag bearer commended the former minister for his years of dedicated service to Plateau State and the nation, saying his contributions to public service continue to inspire a new generation of leaders.
Gyang described Azi as a father figure whose counsel, experience and unwavering commitment to the development of Plateau State had remained invaluable.
According to him, the former minister’s support and guidance have continued to strengthen the ideals of the “Hope-In-Time” movement and encourage its vision of responsive and people-centred leadership.
“Today, we celebrate a true giant of leadership and a pillar of wisdom. Your unwavering support for our mandate is a blessing we carry with immense pride and gratitude.
You have proven to be not just a father to our family, but a compass for the next generation of leaders,” the statement read.
The PDP candidate noted that learning from the experience and leadership of elder statesmen such as Azi remained critical to building effective and accountable governance.
He prayed for God to grant the former minister good health, peace and greater wisdom, expressing hope that he would continue to contribute to the growth and development of Plateau State and Nigeria.
Gyang wished the elder statesman a happy birthday and thanked him for what he described as his enduring commitment to leadership, mentorship and public service.
