Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, has emphasised the crucial role that the income Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) plays in the collection and distribution of income for the development and prosperity of Nigeria.

Therefore, he has urged the Commission to exercise its independence carefully in order to ensure the fair distribution of funds for the benefit of the country.

A delegation from the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), headed by Hailya Hawwa Umar Aliyu, the Federal Commissioner of Jigawa State, paid Governor Mutfwang a courtesy call at Government House Little Rayfield in Jos.

He emphasised the requirement that the Commission uphold a high standard of accountability by making sure that each state receives its fair share of tax income.

The Commission’s efforts to stop revenue leaks and find crucial hidden revenues, which are then deposited into the common fund for fair distribution, were praised by the governor.

Alysha Hawwa The Commission was in the state on a Monitoring and Recovery Exercise to resolve tax arrears owing by States, MDAs, and Local Government Councils, according to Umar Aliyu, Federal Commissioner of Jigawa State, who was speaking on behalf of the organisation.

She enlisted the aid of every government representative in order to obtain the records required for this activity. Aliyu also emphasised the Commission’s commitment to increasing the Federation Account’s revenues, under the direction of Chairman Mallam Mohammed Bello Shehu, by keeping an eye on revenue-generating organisations to stop revenue leaks and diversify the nation’s revenue sources for the benefit of all levels of government.
