The Former Senator representing Plateau North, Senator I. D. Gyang, has rejoiced with His Royal Highness, Da Paul Bulus Tadi, on the occasion of his formal coronation as the Gwom Rwey Heipang.
The former lawmaker extended his felicitations to the new traditional ruler in a congratulatory message issued on the day of the coronation ceremony.
Senator Gyang described the ascension of Da Paul Bulus Tadi to the traditional stool as a moment of great joy and cultural significance for the Heipang community.
“It is with great joy and delight that I express hearty felicitation and good wishes to His Royal Highness, Da Paul Bulus Tadi, Gwom Rwey Heipang, on the occasion of his formal coronation,” the statement read.
The former Senator noted that the coronation represents more than just an ascension to royal authority.
“This historic moment marks not only your ascension to the traditional stool and royal throne of Gwom Rwey Heipang as custodian of the custom and heritage of the land, but also the opening of a new phase of cultural pride for the people.”
Senator Gyang expressed confidence that the new monarch’s reign would bring peace and progress to the Heipang community.
“As you are formally coronated today, may your reign be defined by peace, justice, and progress.”
The former lawmaker prayed for divine wisdom and strength to guide the new ruler’s leadership.
“May you be endowed with wisdom, strength, and grace to lead with fairness, compassion, fostering unity, and development across the land.”

The coronation of Da Paul Bulus Tadi as Gwom Rwey Heipang marks a significant milestone for the traditional institution in Plateau State.
Senator Gyang, who represented Plateau North in the National Assembly from 2019 to 2023, has consistently maintained close ties with traditional institutions across his senatorial district.
The former lawmaker retired as a Permanent Secretary in the Plateau State civil service before venturing into legislative politics.
