Unknown gunmen killed ten people and injured one in Plateau State’s Kulben hamlet, Mangu Local Government Area.
Mr Jerry Datim, a member of the community, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Jos, the state capital, that the event happened on Sunday night.
”Last night, about 8:40 p.m., gunmen assaulted the Kulben village, killing 10 people and injuring one.
‘The bandits stormed the village and began firing indiscriminately. People were fleeing for safety, but the bullets killed some, whose bodies were later discovered.
”We alerted security, but by the time they arrived, the attackers had fled the community,” he explained.
The Plateau State Police Command, according to a senior official who requested anonymity, is on the hunt for the gunmen.
He promised that the hoodlums will face the full force of the law.
