The Plateau Youth Council (PYC) organized a memorial altar in honour of the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang, who died at the age of 32 following a tragic accident in Jos. The solemn event was held in Hiepang of Gwol, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, bringing together youths, community members, and associates to pay tribute to his life and service.
The memorial gathering provided an opportunity for reflection on the impactful life of the young engineer and youth activist, whose dedication, passion, and commitment to societal progress left a lasting impression on the youth constituency across Plateau State.

In his welcome address, the Chairman of the Plateau Youth Council (PYC), Rwas Zang Apollos, described the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang as a hopeful and promising young leader committed to youth development. He recalled the strong support and encouragement he received from the late engineer during his leadership journey.
He said Engr. Gyang was calm, humble, and widely respected by many. The PYC chairman expressed sadness over his sudden death and prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the family.

During the memorial altar, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Barkin Ladi, Rev. Dido Andrew, prayed for the family of the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang and drew encouragement from Philippians 1:21, reminding mourners that for believers, death is a gain. He offered condolences to the family, the Plateau Youth Council, and other groups, urging them to find comfort in God’s promise of eternal rest.

Engr. Luka Davou, General Manager of Plateau State Road Maintenance Agency, mentor to the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang, described him as like a son and recalled their close bond from when Fidelis was a civil engineering student. He praised Fidelis for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to both his studies and community, expressing deep sorrow over his untimely passing.

The Deputy Chairman of Gwol, Barkin Ladi LGA, Hon. Pam Felix, offered condolences on behalf of the local government, citing Ecclesiastes 3 on the timing of life and death. He described the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang as a gentleman and prayed for God’s comfort for the family and all mourners.

The father of the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang, Mr. Pam Gyang, expressed gratitude to the youth for their support and encouragement during this difficult time. He prayed for God’s blessings upon them and urged them to remain steadfast, hopeful, and committed to fulfilling their purpose.

The immediate brother of the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang, Bright Pam Gyang, described him as resilient and passionate about the growth of others. He recalled how Fidelis inspired his peers in school and continued to pursue his passion for leadership and service throughout his life.

Representing former Senator Istifanus Gyang, Mr. Pam Rondong Chollom described the death of Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang as a painful loss, especially among young and promising leaders. He praised the late engineer’s humility, honesty, and leadership qualities, urged everyone to reflect on life and reconciliation, and prayed that God would grant the family and all mourners strength to bear the loss.

In a tribute, the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr. Pam Musa, described the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang as a humble and promising leader whose life touched many. He expressed deep sorrow over the great loss, prayed for God’s comfort for friends and loved ones, and asked for divine healing and protection as the year comes to an end.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders Association, Rwas Rwang Tengwong, described the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang as a calm and solution-driven leader who focused on unity and results. He said Pam was a goal-getter who reasoned carefully before speaking and was widely respected for his maturity and leadership.

The Chairman of the Plateau Youth Council (PYC), Riyom Local Government Area, Comr. Zang Kefas, described the memorial as a moment for sober reflection, noting that life is transient and young, promising leaders are often lost too soon. He urged youths to forgive one another, commit themselves to prayer, and live purposeful lives, while praying for God’s comfort and strength for the family and all mourners.

Rt. Hon. Aseno Amos, Speaker of the Plateau Youth Council (PYC), described the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang as an inspiring and dedicated young leader whose humility and commitment to youth development left a lasting impact, and he prayed for God’s comfort for the family and all mourners while encouraging youths to remain steadfast and purposeful.

Davou Annabel Kanneng recalled working closely with the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang in political and grassroots movements, describing him as persistent, committed, and resilient in the face of challenges. She encouraged youths to remain consistent and steadfast, noting that Pam’s life and dedication showed that consistency truly pays, even as she prayed for his peaceful rest.

Speaking on behalf of the Berom Youth Moulders Association, Gideon Yohanna Choji described the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang as a friendly and compassionate young leader he knew during their university days. He described the death as a painful loss to the youth and prayed that God would comfort the family while appreciating those who attended the memorial.

Obadiah Simon, Chairman of the A10 Ambassadors, described the late Engr. Pam Fidelis Gyang as a committed and inspiring young leader whose life positively impacted many. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss and prayed that God would comfort the family and grant strength to all youths and associates affected by his passing.
