The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Jos, has officially commenced full physiotherapy services, marking a significant step toward providing more holistic, patient-focused care in Plateau State and its environs.

The new service, now operational within the hospital premises, is designed to enhance patient recovery, improve mobility, and manage pain through personalized treatment plans. The hospital management described this development as a milestone in its ongoing mission to deliver comprehensive orthopaedic and rehabilitative healthcare.

According to the Information Officer of the hospital, Meshak Rinret, “This initiative reflects our dedication to expanding our scope of care and improving patient outcomes through innovation and quality service delivery.”

The Physiotherapy Outpatient Clinic is open every Thursday and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering services for a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, neurological cases, post-surgical rehabilitation, and other movement-related issues.

Qualified physiotherapists at the clinic provide expert care using individualized treatment strategies tailored to each patient’s condition and goals.

The hospital encourages referrals from other healthcare facilities as well as walk-in consultations, inviting both patients and professionals to take advantage of the new offering.

The introduction of physiotherapy services reinforces the hospital’s reputation as a center for excellence in orthopaedic care, while also addressing the increasing demand for rehabilitation services in the region.
