The city of Jos experienced a major shift in its nightlife culture on Friday, July 11, 2025, as Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, partnered with Plateau-born businessman and philanthropist, Chief Kefas Ropshik Wungak (Kefiano), to host one of the most exclusive events the city has ever seen.
The event, themed “All Black Friday,” took place at Chillers by New Yorker, a newly refurbished luxury venue owned by Kefiano. It drew top figures from across the state and beyond, setting a new standard for high-end entertainment in Jos.

What made the night extraordinary was the price tag of tables which goes for N1.5 million, while minimum amount spent was N1 million. Despite the high cost, all available tables were completely sold out before the event began.
For a state where events priced at N20,000 often struggle to attract patrons, this feat marked a turning point and revealed a growing taste for premium experiences among residents.
Obi Cubana’s arrival at the Jos Airport was met with excitement as fans gathered to welcome him. His tour around the city before the event created a buzz that spread across social media and traditional platforms.

The presence of the Cubana Group boss, combined with Kefiano’s influence, attracted top business moguls, socialites, and entertainers, turning the venue into a hotspot of luxury and prestige.
The event wasn’t just about entertainment but a bold statement that Jos can host events of international standard and attract big spenders willing to pay for the experience.
“All Black Friday” was more than a party; it was a rebranding of what nightlife means in Plateau State. With attention to class, exclusivity, and excellence, the event proved that Jos is ready for the big stage.
By the end of the night, Obi Cubana and Kefiano had not only delivered an unforgettable experience but had redefined the possibilities for event culture in the city, raising the bar for future organizers and reshaping nightlife in Jos.
