The Plateau State Ministry of Health has discredited a widely circulated message on social media claiming it has released a list of shortlisted candidates for recruitment into various positions.
“The Hon. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nicholas Ba’amlong, categorically states that the Ministry has not undertaken such action as no list of shortlisted applicants has been released. The circulating information is false, unauthorized, and intended to mislead the public.”
The Ministry cautioned that the viral message is false and intended to deceive unsuspecting citizens. It warned that the public should be wary of potential scams targeting job seekers.
“Members of the public are therefore urged to disregard such messages and treat them as a potential scam aimed at defrauding the public.”
According to the Ministry, any official information regarding recruitment will only be announced via government-approved platforms such as the State Government website, verified social media pages, and recognized news media.
“The Ministry of Health remains committed to due process and transparency in all recruitment exercises. Official announcements are made only through authorized government platforms, including the State Government’s official website, verified social media handles, and credible media outlets.”
It further urged the public to report any individual or platform demanding payments or personal details in relation to the fake recruitment message.
“We strongly advise the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious messages or individuals requesting personal information or payments in relation to this false shortlisted candidate claim.”
The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to transparency and urged citizens to rely only on official communication channels for accurate updates.
