Hon. Pirfa Jingfa Tyem, the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area, has expressed concern over the growing menace of child trafficking.
Speaking during a church service at Living Faith Church, Langtang, Tyem called on parents to closely monitor their children and warned that the government will take strict action against those involved in such acts.
It could be recalled that a special task force established by the Plateau State Government recently intercepted two children being trafficked from Langtang South to Lagos in a coordinated rescue operation.
The Chairman emphasized that the government remains committed to safeguarding children and will continue to work closely with security agencies to prevent trafficking and prosecute offenders.
He also called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities, ensuring that the safety and future of the state’s children are protected.
