Former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Simon Mwadkwon PhD, has empowered 160 people across Plateau North with economic tools to help them become self-reliant. The beneficiaries came from Bassa, Jos North, Jos South, Jos East, Barkin Ladi, and Riyom LGAs.

The empowerment items shared included grinding machines and sewing machines. These tools were given to carefully selected individuals to help them start small businesses and support their families.

Speaking at the event, Senator Mwadkwon said his goal is to improve the lives of people, no matter their tribe, religion, or political background. He believes real development must focus on the people.

“Our focus remains on humanity,” he said. “We will keep supporting people and helping them succeed.”

He praised Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his leadership, especially in transport, education, farming, and health. He urged citizens to support the governor’s efforts for a better Plateau.

Senator Mwadkwon advised the beneficiaries to use the machines wisely so they can improve their lives and also help their communities.

Hon. Dalyop Mancha, Director General of the Senator’s Campaign, described the gesture as timely and helpful in fighting poverty. Hon. Chris Hassan, PDP Chairman in Plateau State, also praised the senator for strengthening the party through such programs.

Many local government chairmen, former lawmakers, and community leaders attended the event. They all spoke well of Senator Mwadkwon, saying he continues to serve the people even though he’s not currently in office.

A special moment at the event was the gift of a Peugeot 406 car to Mr. James Nyango, a loyal supporter of the senator, as a reward for his dedication.

The happy beneficiaries thanked Senator Mwadkwon for his kindness. They prayed for him and promised to keep supporting him.
