Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda has been confirmed as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction by the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. His screening on the Senate floor turned into a moment of admiration, with senators praising his qualifications and integrity.
During the session, several ranking senators, including Senate Minority Leader Abba Moro, Simon Lalong, Diket Plang, Pam Mwatkong, Sani Uba, and Ali Ndume, commended Dr. Nentawe for his exceptional competence, integrity, and qualifications. They described him as independent-minded, reliable, and the right person for the job.

His responses drew praise from the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, who humorously noted, “If we continue with this nominee, he’ll lecture us for the whole day, please take a bow and leave.”
