Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong is to now head the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
With this development, Senator Lalong has been moved from the Senate Committee on Agricultural Institutions and Colleges.
The resufflement was announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio as the Senate resumed plenary after its recess.
The Senate President said the change is with immediate effect as Senator Lalong takes over from Senator Ali Sharafadeen Abiodun.
In his response, Senator Lalong promised give the new assignment his best and ensure that the 10th Senate succeeds in strengthening Nigeria’s Electoral process.
